By creating an account, accessing, or using SAT Ascend ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SAT Ascend is an AI-powered educational tool designed to help students prepare for standardized tests. The Service includes optical character recognition (OCR), AI-generated explanations, progress tracking, and practice drills.

Disclaimer: The Service uses artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI models can occasionally produce incorrect or misleading information ("hallucinations"). You should verify critical information and not rely solely on the AI for educational accuracy.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• The Service is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, or national law.
• Upload images or content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Share your account credentials with others to avoid paying fees.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the Service are billed on a subscription basis ("Pro Plan"). Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

• Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. You will continue to have access until the end of your billing cycle.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion, or as required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by SAT Ascend and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

SAT® is a trademark registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, this product.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
